I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with eight years of experience in person-centered and narrative-based therapy, working with youth through adulthood, with a particular focus on teens and young adults. Together, we'll navigate a confusing world so you can build greater self-understanding. I believe our past holds the key to our present behaviors, and that key can open the door to changing our future ones. The issues we struggle with aren't always the root cause, though; my goal is to help you identify what's truly underlying them, so we can get to the heart of what's going on. When you work with me, you'll find I'm a nerd who enjoys humor, with a mind that splits somewhere between Sherlock Holmes and Mr. Rogers. By exploring your past experiences through narrative-based approaches, I aim to empower you with a person-centered perspective. You already hold the answers to your own questions, so my role is to guide and support you as you discover your own solutions. Think of me as your hype person: I'll kindly point out patterns that may be getting in the way of your goals. While sitting in class, I listened to my classmates talk about the major impact therapy had on them. I’d heard of therapy before, but didn't grow up with the concept myself. Thinking back on my upbringing, I saw how many people in my community struggled without that kind of support. I come from a family of helpers, and that legacy stayed with me. Today, I bring a calming atmosphere, humor, and, of course, a helping hand to lift you during the hard times. My hobbies include art museums, concerts, nerdy things such as the Mile High comics, and going on adventures with friends.
My personal identities include: child of immigrants, millennial, cis woman, queer, & mostly able bodied. I find joy in working with: fat/larger bodied folks, the global majority/children of immigrants, & 2SLGBTQIA+. I found that navigating both my culture and what society expected of me was in a lot of ways harmful to my mental health and safety. I continue to go on my own journey of therapy, finding safe community and exploring my own biases. I often watch anime, play video games, board games, and love to bring those into session if appropriate. The topics, tools and space we create together are to support your exploration. Our clinical space will be filled with self compassion so that we can integrate your mind, body, and soul in healing relationships with your own body and others. Through my living/ed experience as a fat person of color, I welcome conversations about intersectionality and systemic oppression. I have spent the majority of my career supporting people of color navigate through different phases of life, especially in college years. We will explore safety in the body, grounding, expressing complex thoughts/feelings, family dynamics and patterns that may or may not serve you anymore. My hope is that you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, celebrate who you are, and recognize the tools you have to support your wellness. My clinical approach: fat liberation, anti-racist, intersectional lens, and sex positive.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Texas and a Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado I have made the commitment to help others as they face adversity so as to develop a loving and compassionate relationship with themselves. I bring a wealth of experience and specialized training in addictions and mental health to my practice and there is one common theme I have noticed throughout my career, which is our self-talk. We are our own worst enemies, and this wreaks havoc on our self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is person centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I tailor my counseling to each individual client and will use several interventions in practice. I am well versed in CBT, DBT, and MI. I also have a background utilizing Positive Psychology, SFBT, and Crisis Intervention. I invite you to a different therapeutic experience where I'll meet you where you are at. By providing a safe and supportive environment, my goal is to provide a holistic and person-centered therapeutic experience where you become empowered to build resilience, achieve personal growth, and become better equipped to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Corisa is an EMDR certified clinician and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SE) that is also trained in Theraplay, CPC-CBT, TF-CBT and often integrates elements of parts work (IFS), sandplay, play therapy, and other attachment, trauma-informed, and brain and body connecting approaches that best meet clients where they are. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is an integral part of the therapeutic journey and having a good fit where clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected is of the utmost importance to her. When not in session, Corisa can be found practicing yoga at her neighborhood studio, birding in a local park, taking in a new independent film, or off exploring local restaurants and dives. Outside of that, she loves spending time outside as often as possible and is always planning her next travel destination with friends or with her partner in their built-out transit van.
LET’S BE HONEST: Existing between worlds is exhausting. Co-existing in multiple worlds and cultures doesn’t come with a roadmap. The competing demands and expectations leave you feeling tugged in opposing directions, and you’re left with the feeling that no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be enough for anyone. Even though there are many people in your life, it feels like nobody from any ‘side’ really gets you, and you’re not sure where you truly belong. You’re tired of facing microaggressions when you’re out and about and obstacles to advancing at work. All this is impacting your relationship, where you’re struggling to communicate and feel a sense of togetherness across the divides.

I love helping my clients recover, build resilience, and create a life full of meaning. I blend my warm, personal therapeutic style with evidence-based practices to create a truly effective experience. I’m non-judgmental and bring an accepting, positive, energetic presence along with a good sense of humor. I’ve seen how a strong therapeutic alliance with the right therapist can make a powerful difference in someone’s mental health journey. Together, we’ll explore how conflicts, disappointments, and setbacks can turn into opportunities for you to get back on track or even take your life to the next level. I see you as the expert and final authority on your own life so in our work together, I'll stay curious and really listen to you. Whether you're eager to start therapy or feeling hesitant, you're not alone. I love working with college students and young adults, helping them identify their values, where they're getting stuck, and how to go after the things they want. I specialize in working with adults with anxiety disorders including Generalized Anxiety, OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic attacks, and specific fears. I help clients overcome their anxiety by approaching, rather than avoiding, their anxiety and anxiety-provoking situations, learning tools and gaining confidence along the way. This can sound scary at first, but the more you do it, the easier it gets.
I offer individual counseling to late teens and adults. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, performance anxiety, chronic pain, and grief. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate environment for individuals to engage in authentic self-expression to move forward with their own personal growth goals. I am a person-centered therapist, believing that empathy is a key component to successful therapy. I take an eclectic approach to counseling and incorporate many different modalities, including EMDR, mindfulness, DBT, and CBT. The goal is to offer feedback and resources that are specific and tailored to each individual client.

We all hold the inner knowledge of what is best for our lives but sometimes need a gentle guide to help us find our path. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where you will feel comfortable expressing difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences, whether that be through traditional talk therapy, EMDR, psychedelic assisted therapy, or ketamine assisted EMDR. Trauma is not always what happened to you but sometimes what did not happen, such as physical or emotional neglect.
Anxiety doesn't have to run your life. You can find joy again. On the surface, things are still looking great. You appear to “have it all”, but, on the inside, things are falling apart. You feel stressed, overwhelmed and out of control. It doesn’t have to be like this, and I can show you another way. I help driven people just like you manage their anxiety, stress and irritable bowel syndrome. You can gain stability and finally enjoy your success. If you are ready to do the hard work of changing your life, I’d love to talk to you.
Students I work with often have a lot on their plate and feel stuck trying to manage it all. You might be dealing with anxiety, feeling down, struggling in your relationships, or unsure of your direction. Even if things look “fine” on the outside, you may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or frustrated by patterns that don’t seem to change. Many of the students I work with are motivated for things to be different, even if they’re not sure how to get there yet. You may have tried to figure things out on your own but feel ready for support that is practical and actually helps you move forward. In our work together, I focus on what’s already working in your life and help you build from there. Therapy with me is collaborative, respectful, and centered around your goals. You can expect a supportive space where you feel heard, gain clarity, and take manageable steps toward feeling better, improving your relationships, and creating meaningful change.
I want you to feel like you can be your best self every day and feel comfortable in your own skin whether your in class, among friends, at home, or in your studio. We can come up with a plan to meet your goals and identify tools and explore ways to help you be the wonderful, creative, and joyful person you're meant to be.
Whether you're navigating trauma, managing anxiety or depression, struggling with big emotions, or working through relationship concerns, you don't have to face it alone. As a Social Work Candidate (SWC) with nine years of experience, I specialize in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Many of the patients I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, struggling to manage intense emotions or unsure how to cope with life's stressors. Together, we work to build practical skills, deepen self-understanding, and create a greater sense of stability and confidence in your everyday life. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I want you to feel supported from the very first session. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine understanding, so you can count on a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and never judged. I walk alongside you as a collaborative partner, helping you build confidence, develop meaningful coping skills, and create lasting, positive change. Therapy looks different for everyone, and that's exactly how it should be. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and tailored to meet your unique needs and goals at every stage of the journey. For younger patients, I incorporate play therapy as a natural and effective way to help children express themselves and process their experiences. For adolescents and adults, we'll work together using trauma-informed care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to build emotional regulation skills, process difficult experiences, and improve your overall well-being. What you can always expect is a supportive environment where you feel safe to be yourself. My style is flexible, and I genuinely care about helping you better understand yourself and develop the tools to feel more in control of your emotions and your life. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about how people experience and cope with difficult emotions and life's challenges. That curiosity grew into a calling, a commitment to offering compassionate, trauma-informed care that truly meets each patient where they are. Every session, I bring a warm, patient, and supportive presence, creating space for you to express yourself openly, build meaningful insight, and develop the skills you need to grow. It's work I find deeply rewarding as I help guide you toward healing and a more balanced life. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy staying active through exercise, which helps me maintain balance and well-being. I’m passionate about volunteering with animals, including involvement in equine-assisted therapy settings, where I’ve seen firsthand the powerful connection between humans and animals. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and connected – values I bring into my work with clients.

Beginning therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel vulnerable and daunting. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I create a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe to support adults who are ready to improve their well-being and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My specialties include perinatal mental health and women’s mental health across the lifespan, along with mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, attachment disorders, and more. When working together, you are assured a warm and non-pathologizing approach to care that is grounded in humility and respect for the courage it takes to share your story. Therapy is, therefore, a collaborative process, where I listen deeply and work with you to clarify your goals and move toward healing and greater well-being at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we attend not only to areas of pain, but also to your strengths, values, and passions. My approach is warm, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based modalities. This background allows me to support mothers and families with both compassion and practical insight. When I’m not in the office, I love reading, spending time in nature, taking in all kinds of art, and having adventures with my family.
Welcome, I'm glad you're here and walking your healing pathway. Therapy can be scary with fears of being judged over your thoughts and feelings. Those thoughts and feelings helped get you here but they may not be serving you anymore and you are seeking change. I have been helping people for 18 years by providing insight based therapy and I love when the healing starts to make changes in people's lives. I look forward to helping the healing process. I offer a judgement free environment (don't we do enough to ourselves already) where you can explore new ideas, thoughts and feelings along your journey.
