I enjoy working with people from a wide range of cultural, international, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities.
People come to therapy for a lot of reasons, but many feel like they need a change from how things are. Some don’t know what it is that needs to change, and they want more insight about what new roads they might try walking down. Others know exactly the changes they want to make in their lives, but they need a safe place to say it out loud to themselves, and they want help along the way. Some can’t change their situation and still yearn to be at peace. Regardless of what brought you to session, my goal during our time together is to work with you to help you identify obstacles in your path. My style is empowering, warm, and pragmatic. I work with people to manage their challenging experiences and connect with the life they want. I use cognitive behavior and acceptance and commitment therapy techniques. I provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, and specialize in evaluating for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders and autism. I don't know you yet, but I'm excited to get to know you and help you come to a greater understanding of your values and getting you back to living the life you'd like to be living.
I specialize in working with clients with anxiety, but also treat a number of other issues, including (but not limited to) depression, ADHD, life transitions, relationship issues etc. I also work as a faculty field advisor at Boston College School of Social Work.
My approach to therapy is guided by the belief that healing and change occur in relation with others. I am committed to meeting people where they are, taking time to learn their unique needs and life experiences, and honoring their own self-knowledge. I strive to create a safe and contained space that fosters exploration and self-actualization. I draw from psychodynamic and relational therapies, while also integrating narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My style is warm, genuine, and collaborative, and I practice with a queer, feminist, and anti-oppressive lens. I work with adults of all ages to navigate a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, identity issues, life transitions, interpersonal struggles, grief, and loss. I specialize in working with complex and developmental trauma, relationships and attachment, and first-generation challenges and experiences. I have experience working in schools, colleges, and community mental health. My personal and professional experiences have informed my passion for working with individuals impacted by the carceral system. I also find joy in expanding and enriching the therapeutic experience through the use of music, theater, and other art forms.
Choosing to start therapy is a meaningful way to care for yourself and respect your own story. If you are facing emotional challenges or want a deeper connection with yourself, this journey can bring hope. Taking the first step by reaching out can help you find the peace and strength you already have inside. Creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space is at the heart of my practice. In this space, we can forge a meaningful therapeutic alliance. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, helping you build resilience to heal, gain deeper insights, and enhance mood management/coping skills. With my Asian background and fluency in both English and Mandarin, I bring together Eastern and Western perspectives to support your recovery and self-care. I aim to create an inclusive space where you can express yourself freely. Your path to well-being is unique, and I am honored to help you find your inner strength, heal, and grow.
I have a general psychotherapy practice where I help people understand themselves and the ways in which they would like to make changes in their lives, cope with crisis, or manage ongoing difficulties. i have worked in the counseling centers at Brandeis University, Simmons College, Emerson College, and the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. I very much enjoy working with college students who are thinking about who they are and what they want to become. My practice is easily accessible by the T.
I am a queer cis white Ashkenazi Jewish woman providing therapy for individuals and people in relationships (such as; couples, poly relationships, siblings, housemates, friends). I have over 15 years' experience working with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in community health, drop-in centers, schools and private practice settings. My approach aims to provide a space that is welcoming of any issues (there is no right or wrong thing to talk about in therapy). I see therapy as a place to get to know ourselves more and identify our needs as well as how to express them to others. I also see therapy as a place for exploration, of identities, how we think and feel about ourselves, and a place to explore goals. It can be a place to improve handling of anxiety when it comes up, how to communicate boundaries to others, and improve the ability to feel organized and focused. Therapy can support processing of experiences of social stress; like understanding the impact of privilege and marginalization on one's day to day life. And how to support oneself while experiencing it. For people interested in relationship therapy or in relationships; the therapy can provide a place for identifying wants and needs, finding compromise, when necessary, improving communication and growing in one's ability to understand each other and improve navigation of conflict.
College can feel like a mix of excitement and pressure all at once. Between academics, relationships, figuring out who you are, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re just barely holding it together. In therapy, I try to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and work together to find ways to feel more grounded and more like yourself again. I really believe people already have strengths in them, even if it doesn’t feel accessible in the moment. My job is to help you reconnect with those strengths and figure out how to use them in real life, especially during stressful or confusing seasons. I work with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and big life transitions. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and body-based (somatic) work to help you understand what you’re feeling and actually shift it in a practical, supportive way. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ($90–$100) to help make therapy more accessible.

I have been approaching my students and clients as storytellers and feeling fortunate to be part of their narratives. I love helping young adults to cope with social, emotional, psychological and academic issues and supporting them to gain control and feel happy within their lives.

Life pulls us in a lot of different directions, and it can be exhausting. Yet beneath this is a quiet invitation. An invitation to slow down. To reconnect. To breathe deeply and remember who you are. To let your feet find the ground again. And your heart find rest. It's not about fixing everything all at once. It’s about turning gently toward yourself, with curiosity and compassion, and asking: What do I need right now? What is my body telling me? What is my heart longing for? I'd love to help. I'm a licensed therapist specializing in working with young and early adults (18-39). I started my practice because I care deeply about helping people connect with who they are and what they want for their life. Together, we’ll help you nurture a healthy relationship with yourself, make sense of how the past has shaped you, and build a meaningful future. I offer individual therapy to clients across Massachusetts via Telehealth, with in-person sessions coming soon. If you've been feeling emotionally overwhelmed and it's affecting your sleep, work, or relationships, today is a good day to prioritize your well-being! I offer telehealth sessions throughout Massachusetts and Virginia, and in person walk-and-talk sessions in Charlottesville, VA. I specialize in helping young adults manage stress, anxiety, feelings of isolation, depression, or of not feeling good enough that can accompany being a college student in an academically rigorous environment. If your previous ways of dealing with challenges are not working, you find yourself drinking more than you used to, not sleeping well, or not feeling able to connect with your friends and family, this is a good time to get additional support. I take an active role in helping you sort out the best way to approach your challenges and teach you the foundations of mental health so you get back on track. Together we will explore the connection between how you live and how you feel, and identify the areas that feel out of balance. I take a comprehensive holistic approach to wellness because, for the people I work with, traditional talk therapy is often not enough. Our mental health is impacted by our environment, sleep, physical activity, what we eat, relationships, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors–and I believe our mental health care should include these elements as components of the whole system. Evidence-based tools we may incorporate include meditation and somatic mind-body practices, techniques to work with thought patterns, interpersonal skills, and lifestyle interventions. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to discuss if we are a good fit to help you achieve your goals!
