I specialize in chronic stress and trauma that disabled, neurodivergent, queer, and trans folks and their loved ones experience. I am an anti-oppressive therapist: no AI, no diagnosis without consent, and no calling the police. I have a 3 hour cancellation policy to increase access for chronically ill, sick, and disabled folks. Together we can explore topics of ableism, grief, and identity. Family, friendship, or individual sessions. My specialties include gender exploration, chronic illness, medical trauma, and caregiver support.

I work with students and young adults who feel like they’re figuring life out without a roadmap, whether you are a first-generation, LGBTQ+, or anyone carrying pressure to succeed while quietly feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of their direction. My own path wasn’t traditional; I dropped out of high school due to circumstances beyond my control before finding mentorship, earning my GED, and becoming a first-generation college graduate from UCLA. I know what it feels like to question your purpose, to feel unseen, or to believe everyone else has it together except you. With over 13 years in education as a teacher, counselor, and mental health specialist — and more than 7 years providing psychotherapy to transitional-aged youth and adults, I bring both lived experience and professional training to our work. I created Easy Peasy Counseling because life isn’t actually “easy peasy,” but I believe even the messy, heavy seasons can become meaningful and transformative with the right support. Therapy with me is about partnership, empowerment, and helping you rediscover the resilient, capable parts of yourself that may have been dimmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions. Let's get to work together so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
Are you a person of color, LGBTQ, or woman-identified student in medicine or science? Have you been wearing that superhero cape for far too long? Ready to feel more peace in your life? You’ve come to the right place. I’m Dr. Lindsey Brooks and I work with underrepresented achievers. I’ll help you feel more grounded, balanced, and resilient. In my former position at UCSF Student Health, I worked with hundreds of students on these issues and I'd be thrilled to offer you support. I accept the Lyra Health Plan which now provides in-network benefits for all University of California students. You might be thinking to yourself: ”I need to keep it all together”, “If I just work harder and push myself more, then everything will be okay”, “I have to stay strong for my family” or “No one understands all this crap I deal with every day”. Everyone around you sees you as a success, yet something still feels like it’s missing. We will work together to help you feel more at ease, empowered, and maybe even allow yourself to be imperfect once in a while. When you begin to accept all the parts of yourself with compassion, things begin to change. You find your voice. I look forward to discovering your voice together. If you are seeking a therapist who is: social justice minded, an anti-racist ally, sex positive, feminist, bisexual+ affirming, and who has experience working with students in science and medicine, let’s talk. Everyone experiences moments in life when extra support can make all the difference. I provide a warm, open, and trusting environment where individuals, couples and families can explore challenges and work toward meaningful growth and change. With many years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of helping people create positive, lasting transformations in their lives. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey. With training in Imago Therapy, Positive Discipline, IFS, EFT, and CBT, I support individuals, couples, and families. My approach is rooted in connection, education, and personalized interventions that align with each client’s goals—promoting growth, healing, and meaningful change. Reaching out can feel overwhelming, especially during personal or relationship struggles—but you’re not alone. Together, we’ll create a safe, judgment-free space to explore your story and work through challenges. Whether you're facing conflict, parenting issues, or tough emotions, I’m here to support you.
My approach to the therapy process is collaborative so that together we can work to accomplish your goals. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, past trauma, relationship issues, or a life transition, we can work together to uncover the underlying emotions and navigate the blind spots so that you can gain clarity and calmness in your self and in your relationships. I use specific styles of therapy, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) as a way to help guide the therapeutic process. These styles help us explore strengths and transformation, while also navigating areas that keep us emotionally stuck. I am truly inspired by the resilience of the human spirit and the bravery that people have when embarking on the difficult but necessary work of self-examination. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel supported and understood, as we journey together in the therapy process.
It is discouraging to navigate a world that doesn’t see you, that misunderstands you or makes you invisible based on your gender, race, sexuality, size, trauma history and a host of other factors. Systemic oppression impacts your mental health as much your history does. It can be intimidating to reach out to a therapist because you want to find someone who really understands you. Mental health has a history of victim-blaming and pathologizing. I am a queer therapist offering trauma-informed therapy for individuals and couples. I utilize an intersectional feminist and social justice lens. I specialize in working with queer, gender-blessed and other non-mainstream individuals and relationships, including non-monogamous, age-gap, cross-cultural and queer relationships.
I am from the Bay Area and went to residency at UCSF for psychiatry where I wad trained in student health. Since graduating residency in 2005, I have loved teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and peers at UCSF in many capacities such as: UCSF's Women, Mood and Hormone Clinic, Brain Mind and Behavior and a Dream Seminar. I have run a full time private practice in Cow Hollow from day 1 of graduating residency. It is therapy based with medication use/evaluations in that setting. I have an eclectic style and use many modalities: Psychodynamic, CBT, Dream interpretation, etc. In the last couple years, I have been more involved in organized psychiatry. I am currently an American Psychiatric Association (APA) Distinguished Fellow and Northern California Psychiatric Society (NCPS) Vice President. I look forward to connecting soon.
Initiating the process of therapy can understandably feel overwhelming, that’s why I strive to provide a supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential space for clients to explore difficult parts of their lives. I specialize in working with young adult issues, identity development, life transition, and first-generation students. Separating from your family, navigating new relationships, and discovering your path and interests are some of the unique challenges in this period of life. I have over four years of experience working in university counseling centers providing individual and group therapy to students, staff, and faculty. Through a safe and collaborative therapeutic alliance, we can work toward bringing relief to your immediate distress while also fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and others. I'm interested in helping you access your innate wisdom and healing potential. I’m curious and sensitive to cultural differences and the unique factors that have shaped your life. Together we can develop and uncover parts of yourself that can lead to living a richer, more creative life.
I work with non-linear thinkers who are searching for a therapist with intuitive wisdom who cherishes the divergent path. I specializes in connecting with ADHDers who have always felt different even if others couldn't tell. My clients are notoriously curious and adept improvisors, who are playfully creative, but they still feel perpetually out-of-sync with the world around them. They charm others with their insight and levity, and save the biting criticisms for themselves. So they end up feeling like anxious imposters, waiting to be exposed. Acquiescing to others has helped you get by without too many catastrophes, but deep down you can't keep convincing yourself that you're okay with just getting by. There's a deeper itch that's beckoning you into an alternative way of being. Yes, still different, but personal, integrated, aligned with your soul. I approach therapy as the life-changing work that it is, and while there's a serious commitment to exploring one's psyche, it doesn't mean you or I are required to take ourselves too seriously. Excavating one's own lived experience and the difficulty of navigating a world not built for you is not for the faint of heart, yet we continue to be curious, adapt, and play. I am intentional in creating and holding space for clients to find and share a more authentic version of themselves. Clients are well-met when they bring curiosity about their distinct approach to life, courage to speak what has been left unsaid, and compassion to nurture a deeper truth about themselves.

My clients usually approach me when they are ready to make a change in their lives. They are experiencing conflicts, inside themselves or with others, and are looking for an empathic, flexible and dynamic clinician to provide support and guidance. Hello, I am Dr. Keisha C. White, a Clinical and School Psychologist in private practice (virtual/telehealth therapy) at KCW Psychological Services and MLH Psychology. My work has focused on helping individuals with anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships (family, platonic, romantic), work-life balance, life transitions, special-education assessment, Individual Education Plans (IEP), and fostercare/adoption/transracial adoption therapy. I earned my Bachelor Degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey, double majoring in Dance and Psychology. I trained as a psychologist in New Jersey, New York City, and California. I completed an APA accredited internship at Pacific Clinics and Post Doctoral Fellowship at both Harbor UCLA Medical Center and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. I have worked in hospital (inpatient and residential), college psychological services, outpatient clinics, as well as, community, school, and home-based settings. As an African American woman growing up in multicultural and ethnically diverse communities, I understand the interrelated impact of diverse cultures, individual differences, and environmental contexts on the development and worldviews of individuals. I recognize the importance yet challenges with having multifaceted identities (e.g., race, age, sexual identity, religion, socio-economic status, education, personal interests…etc) and remaining “true to self,” while engaging in mainstream culture. With this knowledge, I continue to instill in my clients (as well as myself) the importance of maintaining mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health and wellness practices, as well as, feelings of HOPE, self-acceptance, and the understanding that the experiences I have had and the choices I have made are not finite and do not solely define my identity. My clients and I are both “agents of change,” constantly progressing, and continuously developing through this journey called life. I am focused on facilitating hope and healing through mental health and wellness practices for my clients, as well as underrepresented groups in the mental health space. I connect with my clients through my personal experiences, and utilize my professional training and creativity to assist my clients with developing and implementing individualized effective strategies to address their challenges. "I am you, I see you, I care” I provide therapy services to residents of CA, NY, NJ, MA, and CT Please email (kcwhite@kcwpsychologicalservices.com) me or call me (323-207-5454) to schedule a free consultation session. My name is Taj-Zsa Hower, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, as well as the owner of Minding My Own Therapy. I have more than 9 years of experience providing mental health services to a multitude of diverse individuals and couples. And 2 of those years were spent working in CSUCI Counseling and Psychological Services. While there, I absolutely loved working with the college population. In fact, I created a speciality service within my practice tailored to the needs and experiences I encountered while helping my clients; Adulting Therapy. I use the term Adulting Therapy to define the emotional and mental journey that young adults undergo when confronted with the varied responsibilities commonly linked to significant transitions into adulthood, such as college adjustment, interpersonal relationships, dating, career worries, financial concerns, and stress management. Just because we have entered adulthood, doesn’t mean we know all the answers or that we’ve conquered every challenge; however, what it can mean, is that we have more challenges, increased anxieties, and a higher need for support. Adulting Therapy can be that support! Adulting Therapy will offer a place to openly address any and everything you are feeling, experiencing, and going through, so you don’t have to face them alone. I deeply enjoy and greatly value being a psychotherapist, as my clients gift me the special opportunity to be a guiding influence in the midst of their life’s journeys. A role that I accept seriously and wholeheartedly. If you believe we may be a good fit or just have more questions, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!
